Girl Scouts and Cartwheels!
On Saturday, June 26th, Girl Scout Troop 6202 will be sponsoring the 1st Annual Cartwheel-A-Thon for a Cause! The event will be held from 10:00am to 12:00pm, and all proceeds will go to the Charles County Public Library system’s literacy efforts!
If cartwheels aren’t your thing, you can learn about Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” campaign or take the Presidential Challenge to live a healthier life.

As National Volunteer Week gets underway, I’m excited for all the change that will take place during this week. It will be a time to serve, reflect, and think about creative ways to improve society. Equipped with an endless amount of energy, a desire to serve others and a somewhat crazy idea, completing 365 consecutive days of service is something many people do everyday.
